TatLister Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of TatLister, located at www.tatlister.co.uk, and any associated services provided by its developers. For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, the term "developers" refers collectively to the authorised creators, maintainers, and contributors of the TatLister platform.

1. Beta Software Disclaimer

TatLister is provided as a beta version and is actively evolving. Features may change, break, or behave unexpectedly. By using TatLister, you agree that:

The service may be updated, changed, or suspended at any time without notice.
Features may be added, removed, or modified without prior announcement.
Your data and settings may be affected by ongoing development work.
Reasonable efforts will be made to limit downtime, but the site may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance or major updates.

2. No Warranty

TatLister is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TatLister and the developers disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy, and non-infringement. No guarantees are made regarding:

Continuous availability of the service;
Error-free performance;
Accuracy or suitability of generated listings;
Compatibility with any specific devices, systems, or workflows.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, TatLister and the developers shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use—or inability to use—the platform. This includes but is not limited to:

Loss of data or content;
Financial losses or missed opportunities;
Business interruption;
Incorrect or unsuitable generated listing content.

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

Ensuring all listings comply with eBay policies and UK law;
Reviewing and verifying generated titles, descriptions, prices, and categories;
Maintaining backups of important data;
All decisions made based on TatLister outputs.

5. No Guarantee of Results

TatLister is an assistance tool. The developers do not guarantee that:

Listings will be accepted or approved by eBay;
Generated prices reflect actual market conditions;
Generated content will improve sales or performance;
Any particular commercial outcome will result from using the platform.

6. Data Handling & Security (UK GDPR)

The developers comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Users may request data access, correction, or deletion by contacting support@tatlister.co.uk. Additional points:

Accounts and all associated data can be deleted upon request.
The developers do not store any eBay credentials, passwords, or financial information.
All eBay authentication is handled via OAuth; only minimal required permissions are accessed.
All payments are processed by Stripe. TatLister stores no card or payment details.
No guarantee is made regarding protection from unauthorised access or data loss.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TatLister and the developers from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) resulting from:

Your use of TatLister;
Violation of these Terms & Conditions;
Violation of third-party rights or laws.

8. Intellectual Property

All code, systems, designs, and content within TatLister are owned by the developers. Users must not:

Copy, modify, or distribute any part of TatLister;
Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract underlying source code;
Use the platform to create competing products.

9. Listing Retention Policy

Listings created within TatLister must be uploaded to eBay or deleted within 30 days. Listings older than this may be automatically removed to preserve system performance.

10. Account Suspension & Dormancy

The developers reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently delete accounts at their discretion, with or without notice. Dormant or inactive accounts may also be removed.

11. Credits & Refund Policy

Credits are non-refundable except where required by UK law. Additionally:

Credits have no monetary value outside TatLister;
Purchased credits that have not been used may be eligible for a refund only within 14 days of purchase, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations for digital services;
Promotional credits may expire or be revoked;
Once a listing is created, a credit is consumed and is non-refundable, regardless of the resulting content. By using any credit (e.g., generating a listing), you acknowledge that the digital service has begun, and you waive your statutory right to a 14-day cancellation period for that credit.

12. Acceptable Use Policy

Users must not misuse the platform. Prohibited actions include:

Scraping or bypassing credit systems;
Causing system overload or harm;
Generating unlawful, harmful, or misleading content;
Using TatLister in violation of eBay policies or UK law.

13. Third-Party Dependencies

TatLister relies on third-party services such as eBay, OpenAI and Stripe APIs. The developers cannot guarantee their uptime, accuracy, or continued availability.

14. Third-Party Software & Copyright

TatLister may incorporate or interact with third-party software, APIs, libraries, frameworks, or services. All such third-party components remain the sole intellectual property of their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to third-party trademarks, copyrights, or proprietary technologies used within or alongside TatLister.

15. Trademarks & No Affiliation

All trademarks, logos, brand names, and product names referenced within TatLister remain the property of their respective owners. Mention of any brand or marketplace, including eBay, does not imply affiliation, endorsement, approval, or sponsorship.

TatLister is an independent software tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to eBay, Stripe, or any other third-party service. All usage of third-party names is for identification and compatibility purposes only.

16. Generated Content Disclaimer

All generated titles, descriptions, and pricing suggestions are estimates only. Users must review everything before publishing. The developers accept no responsibility for inaccurate or unsuitable content.

15. Force Majeure

The developers are not liable for failures caused by events outside their reasonable control, including internet outages, cyber attacks, natural disasters, or third-party service failures.

16. Modifications to Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. Updated versions take effect immediately upon publication at www.tatlister.co.uk/terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be handled exclusively in UK courts.

Privacy Policy

TatLister respects your privacy. We store only the minimum information required to operate your account.

Email address – used only for login and essential communication.
Password (hashed) – never visible to the developers.
Basic TatLister settings – required for platform functionality.

TatLister does not store:

eBay passwords or private eBay account information
Credit card numbers or financial details (handled entirely by Stripe)
Any personal profile data beyond your email
Tracking, analytics, or behavioural data

TatLister does not share, sell, or distribute any user data to any third party.

You may request deletion of your account or a copy of the limited data stored by emailing support@tatlister.co.uk.

Cookie Policy

TatLister uses only essential cookies required for login and secure session functionality.

No tracking cookies
No analytics cookies
No advertising or third-party cookies

Disabling essential cookies may prevent the site from functioning correctly.
